Think about it, when a person or an object makes you happy, that 'happiness' only last for a short amout of time.
The persuit of happiness is all about find eternal happiness. True happiness comes from within you, look inside yourself and you will find it.
People were not born with emotions, so we developed these emotions you call 'Happy' and 'Sad' and so many others. If we developed them dont you think we should be able to control them ourselves.
